- How does the sport of cross country work? Follow this link to view the 2015 Bella Vista Cross Country Parent Guide. It has information on how you, the parent, can help your daughter/son to succeed in the sport of cross country. In addition it covers the basic rules of cross country, how a meet is scored, the equipment you will need, and running terminology.
- How do I get signed up for the team? If you are interested in signing up for the Bella Vista Cross Country Team you can contact one of the following coaches. - When do we start practice? Official 2015 season practice begins Monday, August 10. Everyone makes the team, there are no cuts. A season schedule of meets can be found by clicking here.
- Is there conditioning during the summer? Yes the team does voluntary summer conditioning during the months of June, July and August. You can contact one of the coaches above for a summer months conditioning schedule. We also host a team cross country summer camp. Information on how to register can be found by clicking here.
- How do I get on the girls team text/email list? Follow this link (coming soon) for instructions on how to join the girls team text/email list.
- How do I get on the boys team text/email list? The boys teams will use both remind.com and XCstats.com. Boys team members and parents will need to join both lists. For remind.com instructions follow this link. For XCstats you will need the Bella Vista registration code which you can get from Coach Kuphaldt - email - h.kuphaldt@gmail.com. Next go to http://www.xcstats.com/ and follow the instructions at this link.
- How do I get cleared to participate? To receive clearance to start practice with the cross country team you must first read the Bella Vista Athletic Policy Handbook, complete the Athletic Clearance Packet (click here to view documents and instructions), and then submit your completed packet to the attendance office for approval. Please allow 24-48 hours for athletic clearance. Note that you will have to get a physical exam from a doctor.
- How do I get a uniform? To receive your uniform you will need to read the team rules in the Bella Vista Cross Country Rules Handbook then complete the sign-off sheet stating that you have read and understand the team rules. You will also need to complete an emergency card. These documents can be found by clicking here.
- What kind of grades do I need to participate in sports at BV? You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better with no more than one F to compete in any sport at Bella Vista. For more information on academic requirements refer to the BV Athletic Handbook.
